Amiravo complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512, and will respond to valid notices of claimed infringement.
Designated agent. Amiravo Copyright Agent, reachable through our contact form (topic “Copyright (DMCA) notice”).
Notice of infringement. Your notice must include: (1) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (3) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (a URL); (4) your contact information (address, telephone, email); (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Our response. On receipt of a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the material, notify the user who posted it (if any), and document the notice.
Counter-notice. If you believe material you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, send our agent a counter-notice containing: (1) your signature; (2) identification of the removed material and its prior location; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; (4) your name, address, and telephone number; and (5) a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your district (or, if outside the United States, the District of Utah) and that you will accept service from the person who sent the original notice. If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the complainant and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant notifies us that it has filed a court action.
Repeat infringers. We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
Misrepresentation. Anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing or was removed by mistake may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Citations and quotations. Amiravo quotes short passages from scientific literature and regulatory documents with citation for purposes of commentary, education, and research, which we believe is fair use. Abstracts and figures reproduced beyond that are used under license or are in the public domain (for example, U.S. government works, including FDA labeling). If you believe we have exceeded fair use, write to our agent and we will review promptly.
