L-Glutathione cycle length: what human studies ran

Not approved — research use onlyBLimited human data
Short answer: there is no established L-Glutathione cycle length or break. The human studies below ran for set periods under monitoring; none tested repeated courses.

Treatment and follow-up in human studies

  1. The oral supplementation trial ran 6 months with measurements at 1, 3 and 6 months and a 1-month washout 1; the sublingual crossover used 21-day periods 2.
  2. The intravenous Parkinson's disease pilot administered study medication over 4 weeks and followed participants for a further 8 weeks 3.
  3. The oral skin-lightening study treated for 4 weeks 10; the inhaled cystic fibrosis trial treated for 6 months 12, and the earlier aerosol study for 14 days 13.

What has not been tested

  • On-and-off schedules or breaks between courses.
  • Repeated courses and long-term exposure beyond the periods listed.
  • L-Glutathione combined with other compounds, unless a study above says so.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an established L-Glutathione cycle length?
No. Human studies administered L-Glutathione for the periods listed on this page. Those are study durations; none tested an on-and-off schedule or a break.
What is the longest human study of L-Glutathione?
The durations are listed on this page with their sources; compare them directly rather than relying on a summary.
Do study durations tell me how long to use something?
No. A study duration is how long investigators administered a compound to selected participants under monitoring. It is not a recommended course, and a break between courses has not been tested for any compound on this site that is not approved.
